Workforce Development
Within the last year alone, R3 Solar has proudly provided a “second chance” to men and women who had significant barriers to obtaining gainful employment. Whether due to prior conviction, inconsistent work history, inadequate job skills, or other life circumstances, these candidates were not able to realize their full potential. Current initiatives include empowering rural youth from environmentally disadvantaged communities (e.g. Central Valley, CA), and formerly incarcerated adults reentering the workforce.
Capacity Building
Upon hire, R3 Solar immediately provides individuals with educational experiences and extensive safety and practical skills training. R3 team leaders then match new recruits with one or more experienced team members in order to provide close supervision, positive guidance and mentoring. By offering valuable ongoing team support and a stable, encouraging work environment, we see candidates learn fast, advance fast, and ultimately thrive on the job.
Sustainable Education
To accomplish the former, R3 Solar engages with charitable organizations both as an active participant and financial supporter. We donate cash, equipment, and electricity to select organizations through a high-impact giving model that generates returns for the receiving organizations for years to come. Our donations come with ONE condition - that the returns are reinvested into additional workforce development and educational programs that continue driving forward the clean energy industry.
